Fishing the Lakes

Not every moment at Hippo Lakes needs to be a drive. For guests who want a quieter way to spend time on the reserve, the water is always there.

With five fishing decks spread across the property, there is no shortage of spots to drop a line. Multiple species can be caught year-round, and the experience works equally well for seasoned anglers and first-timers.

Tackle is provided, but guests are encouraged to bring their own rod and tackle if they prefer.
