The reservation is non-refundable at the time of booking. No refunds are possible under any circumstances, including for revised trips, payments made before the trip, or payments made during the trip.
Guests are highly encouraged to purchase travel insurance that would reimburse them if needed.
The trip may be revised within 12 months of the original booking date, provided the revised date is before the trip expiration date. If travel cannot occur within this period, a 100% change fee of the total reservation charge will apply. Date revision is subject to availability.
Guests may revise their trip date a maximum of one time. Subsequent revisions will not be eligible for further date revision, and no credit will be issued. Any increase in rates at the time of revision will be applied, and the guest will be responsible for additional charges.
An extension fee may be offered at a price to extend the travel period beyond the original trip expiration date. Please contact your concierge for more information.
By making an initial deposit, you commit to Hippo Lakes Luxury Safari Lodge to make payments towards the remaining balance until it is fully paid. Changes to the plan are not permitted once established. By making the first deposit, the guest agrees to make the payment amounts as specified by the specified date until the balance is paid in full or the payment plan is terminated.
If a traveler is unable to travel, please contact your Hippo Lakes Concierge and we will do our best to assist with changes. Please note that bed arrangements may vary depending on the type of accommodation.
The package owner may transfer or gift the package to friends or family. To do so, please confirm this with your concierge in writing with the new guest’s name, email, and phone number for the official transfer. This one-time gesture is final upon completion, and the original travel expiration date and inclusions still apply. Packages cannot be donated or sold to nonprofits or travel companies without special permission.
Hippo Lakes works with selected hotels and lodges that strive to provide the same level of care and service as Hippo Lakes Luxury Safari Lodge. Accommodation in the extension destinations varies, and Hippo Lakes Luxury Safari Lodge has the right to revise the partner hotel.
At Hippo Lakes Luxury Safari Lodge, we understand that unforeseen events like natural disasters, government restrictions, or pandemics can impact travel plans. If such circumstances affect your booking, we will work with you to reschedule or provide accommodation of similar or higher value at Hippo Lakes or a partnered property, subject to availability.
